Vision items

Agreed, I think it would enable more counterplay. Being able to know where the safe farm is would help comeback potential a lot I think.

Why low-cost? why not something expensive that can do more than vision? This game has a fuck ton of walls and buildings that block line of sight and I think this was done deliberately. I have not felt the desire to have a vision item because of the way sound works in this game with footsteps and shooting sounds. You can hear people doing mid-boss from a decent distance. Honestly we're chillin

I think it will be better if it should be low-cost because 1) Enemy also can do vision 2) Enemy can deward your vision 3) I think "ward" must be limited, so you can't set vision in all map.
Yeah, i agree that game have a lot of walls, but ward anyway can give you important information on minimap (for example if Haze will try gang other lane in invis)

Im not opposed to vision items, but i feel like deadlock is trying to remove all the “busy work” you see in mobas. Not that vision items are bad in those games, but if needing to ward and deward is coming between you and enjoying the more fun aspects of deadlock, i dont see it being worth it. There arent many places to hide even, if you dont see them in the lane or by a teammate, you usually have a pretty good idea of where they are. I could see a scan feature being added like dota, or maybe even a portal to take you from yellow to purple, but cheap wards just dont seem fun imo

That's true, I really love the sound design when it comes to mitigating the lack of wards in this game. An awful lot of negative feedback I hear about this game is "why not just play dota", unique things like this help to make deadlock feel distinct and fun.
