Why Goo Ball needs reworking:
Goo Ball has become narrowly focused: its primary uses are either carrying the Urn objective or escaping. Originally designed as an offensive, teamfight-impacting ultimate, it no longer aligns with Viscous’s utility-focused kit. In its current state, players either opt for a punchy, express-shot playstyle or full support build, and the reason people don’t use the ball anymore is because it’s really hard to get value from it. It also keeps getting nerfed, and for some reason, any type of crowd control disrupts the ball’s momentum. That’s why I believe Viscous’s ultimate truly needs a rework.
My Proposed Ultimate Idea — Hostform/Taken Shape:
Viscous temporarily mimics a targeted ally or enemy, gaining access to their non-ultimate abilities while retaining his own movement and stats. The ultimate can be reactivated to switch between his own kit and the copied abilities, just like Morphling in Dota. This concept fits well with Viscous’s lore, as he is already liquid and often speaks about inhabiting bodies that don’t belong to him.
