Viscous Puddle Punch thru Walls

It seems like the geometry on some walls confuses Puddle Punch enough where the direction punched becomes unpredictable.
It also seems like standing right up next to a wall causes a looot of issues with the ability being able to detect that specific wall.
Since you can't punch without a valid target, I would imagine that the punch is just skipping the wall right infront of Viscous and snapping to either the otherside of it (punching away from Viscous) or, as seen in the second to last wall I punch in the attached video, is snapping to the face that is the end of the thickness of the wall while still punching in the intended direction. This also seems to happen at a lot of corners, although I have only tested in the sandbox map.
