I think the change to Vindicta’s Tier 3 upgrade from granting souls to weapon damage is reasonable. However, the current design still feels like it unintentionally punishes skilled play, particularly quick-scoping.
Vindicta is a skill-shot focused hero, and landing fast shots should be rewarded rather than discouraged. Holding the shot, feels counterintuitive for a sniper-type character, in a game with a high skill ceiling in movement. You’re often sniping in the move while players are diving you, and the target is wall jumping away.
Meanwhile, other heroes like Abrams can eliminate full-HP targets with abilities that require significantly less precision. Because of that, Vindicta players shouldn’t feel punished for taking fast, reactive shots.
Suggested Adjustment
Instead of encouraging players to hold the shot, consider rewarding fast execution:

Instead of encouraging players to hold the shot, consider rewarding fast execution:
- When Assassinate is fired within X seconds of activation, it gains a damage bonus.
- If the ability is held longer than that window, the damage begins to fall off gradually.
- Vindicta still has to target below half hp targets to get the tier 2 dmg bonus. My suggestion is to change the base dmg from rewarding players for holding to shot to rewarding them to take it faster. It’s not to change the tier 2.
- There will still be counter play if Vindicta is allowed to quick scope half ho targets. Spell breaker, spirit resilience, counter spell, movement skill, etc…
