Verify game file crashes

Hi,
game regularly crashes with a brief popup telling me to verify some game file. After that I:
CANNOT verify game files (stuck at 0%)
CANNOT start the game (stuck at Downloading content 0%)
ONLY after one or sometimes two complete system restarts, will it let me verify and play again, at which point i am usually banned for the day :\

I have tried the following:
Reinstall (does nothing)
Moving game files to another ssd (does nothing)
Verify game files EVERY TIME before starting the game (seems to make it rarer, but still happens)

This is on windows 11, and I play tons of other steam games, and have no issues with any other game. Deadlock is basically unplayable for me because of this, since I get banned so often.

Same with me. Ive tried the ram reseating... ive tried the XMP stuff...

Its random.

The crash isnt even the part that pisses me off... its the fact that the game gets stuck at 0% while verifying until i get an abandon. No other game has ever done this. Ever.

Yes, the crashing is not the bad part, its that you immediately know that you'll get an abandon...

My strategy now is to always verify integrity of gamefiles 2-3 times before playing, since I do that it only happened a few times (before I entered a game though).

Hi, I'm trying to collect a lot of people with the same problem on the same thread, could you run a DXDiag if you are running windows, or just post your specs? It may be a hardware component issue we have between us
