Upgradable items

New member
with the new investment bonus we may struggle with hitting the spike when we need low tier items like restorative locket -mystic shots- intensifying mag ,rebuttel . any 1.6k item that is unique ,dont scale late game as much , these items just occupy important slot thats needed late game and prevent investemnt bonus .
my suggestion is - any item is tier upgradable with little bonus that make it worth so we can hit those investement spike easily and make late game has more items than *meta* tier 4 items .
probably not perfect idea but maybe a start to something
 
Several of the items you have listed do scale into the late game quite well, depending on the build.

Rebuttal's damage returns 100% to the attacker, and buffs your own damage by 30%, meaning as enemies scale their damage, more damage is returned to them, and the more powerful you are the more powerful the buff becomes.
Mystic Shot scales with spirit power significantly, to the point where at high spirit values it can deal massive damage.
Restorative locket scales it's healing with level, and the stamina recovery is always charge-based, so it's always useful regardless of the time in the game(though depending on the build its probably less useful later).
Intensifying Mag doesn't 'scale' like the other items you listed, but it also has such high base numbers that if you can keep its passive uptime stacked, it's as valuable as a T3 item.

Keep in mind that Valve has put a lot of time & brainsweat into balancing these items on purpose, and many T4 items are not useful for their stats, but for their passive/active effects. Silencer/Colossus/Curse are great examples of this from each category.

i probably didn't explain well enough. my mean is yes, they are good items and balanced as they are. it is but being stuck as they t2 or t1 prevent the investments bonuses, especially in rebuttals which is very important in a lot of games but being stuck with t1 the whole game? you cannot get the 4.8k bonus with a t3 with it you have to get a t4 .
i am not talking about a particular item I am talking about a system which u can upgrade t1 or t2 to t3 in order to hit the 4.8k bonus with a little bonus or something.
my whole point is easier to get the 4.8k bonus .
 
Ahh I see what you're getting at now. Hard to say how valuable that'd be for the game. Being able to freely upgrade investment tiers with just souls makes being slot locked a lot less of a problem. On the other hand, it is rather annoying being down an investment tier bc you're holding onto rebuttal to deal with a viscous or billy player.
