Unstoppable doesn't avoid status effects like affliction, only things that would stun / root you. Debuff Remover is the item that gets rid of pocket's affliction.

I think it's an issue with how the description is written because you're definitely right. Recently they made it so unstoppable doesn't stop anti-heal but they never updated the description so I think it's a similar situation, apologies. As far as I know though, unstoppable is currently only supposed to remove / stop stuns and roots, while debuff remover is for anything else.
