After a failed queue, I was sent back to the lobby and was not able to rejoin the match. I attempted to reconnect multiple times and even restarted the game, but still did not work. This issue has happened twice.
As a result of this, I was banned for a day. Below is a snapshot of my match history showing that I did not abandon any matches.
