This game needs resist shred

As the title says, this game needs more resist shred items, having to deal with 60-50% (even higher against some builds) resistances is a nightmare. Having only -24% shred from crippling headshot and -12% from some items isn't enough to deal enough burst damage and overpower the life steal that usually comes with these builds.
 
I kinda agree, and some of the resist reduction items requires you to be near the enemy or even requires a melee attack.

Although applying resist reduction already buffs your whole team's damage against the target, it's not fun when you have to go in melee range just to apply them.
 
I mean, they buy resists to counter your damage, even buy full resist pack they need to invest 8k souls into defense only. They might be tanky, but that's all. We have a lot of bullet and resist shreders (somewhere around 4-5 for each type of damage). So why would we need more?

What full resist pack?? If you're talking about the 2 improved armors that's not really full resist... we have 18 items that give bullet resistance and 11 that give spirit resistance... 3 spirit resist reduction and 4 bullet resist reduction items. I think it would be nice if it was actually 5 each.

Buying all the bullet resist reduction items costs 11k+, you can fully counter Improved Bullet Armor priced at 4250. But the enemy also has to be alone and within 15m radius of the carrier, you need to deal spirit damage to apply one of the item debuff, and you need apply another with an active. With spirit resistance, it's almost 15k and you can't even reduce fully negate a 4250 armor.

Although I understand why it's not abundant, your team's damage also gets amplified because of it and there are ability upgrades that give resist reduction. I think the way some of it is applied is just annoying, especially in uncoordinated games.

The problem is they don't need a full resist pack sometimes, they can cut my damage by half for 4250 souls if the know my damage. Not to mention so many items provide little bits of resistances that stack up and i'll end up having to invest in a 6200 item to reduce it by 24%. Also, on top of all of this with how powerful life steal is this game, it becomes a nightmare to 1v1 even with anti heal items.
 
I understand that crippling headshot provides value for the whole team, but I think there should be an option for personal resistance penetration
 
I think people look at how broken Escalating Exposure is and think we need more of it. If you want to counter tanks build Toxic Bullets. Delete EE.

Go into sandbox and make a late game tank shiv or any tanky character with a little bit of life steal and try to 1v1 them with any arrangement of items. I don't think you'll be able to win against them at all, if you do please send the build. Regarding escalating exposure I think you can counter it with debuff remover because you need to be constantly hit with spirit damage for 14 seconds to be hit with max stacks. And it reduces debuffs duration by default.

I'm a shiv main, and I can say for sure that if I'm even with a haze in the late game, I'm not winning a 1v1. Any kind of DPS melts shiv. He's only strong against burst damage. His shotgun is slow as hell too so he'll never be able to lifesteal more than a haze or wraith.

Maybe you're playing shiv 2 build. With bleed shiv you are almost unkillable with the continues life steal especially when the rage is full and knifes ricochets to nearby enemies. But this is a valve game, there should be more options item-wise for heros who have slow guns to have a chance in these 1v1's with the correct set of items. Thats what I see.
