Hi everyone! Since we haven't gotten much official lore on Ixia itself yet, I'm trying to tie up some loose ends using the three Ixian characters, their voicelines, and some visual clues (like the Lady Geist VN or unused character designs like Candance).
I've been thinking about how their society works, and I believe the Ixian race is divided into a caste or sub-race system based on their physical traits and abilities. Here is how I think our current roster fits into this:
Abrams: The Low Caste / Working Class
Based on his character traits, Abrams has no supernatural powers aside from being incredibly strong which I consider to be just a natural Ixian trait. The times he implies he's been to Ixia make me think he was born there, couldn't get out due to the war, and eventually moved to NYC through his own hard work (or by fleeing) Also to note that he's not resentful of ixia and celebrates whenever he's with other ixians. I consider him to be part of a working caste due to his blue skin, which seems common among other Ixians (like the chill guy playing pool in the Lady Gheist VN or Speculative Victor's blue arm).
Infernus: The Exploited Caste / Industrial Utility
From his voicelines, we can easily say that Infernus has never touched Ixia. His parents haven't taught him anything about it, given how disconnected he is from his national roots. This makes me think his caste belonged to the heavily exploited living tools of the monarch, perhaps used for ore refining or as living power suppliers. I believe Infernus's parents fled from Ixia to NYC in an attempt to start from zero. They raised Infernus by severing their cultural ties, hoping to avoid passing down their generational trauma. This resulted in him growing up in the lower class of NYC and turning to crime, until Hank saved him by giving him a j#b. ( spooky word )
Apollo The Royal Bloodline
Apollo makes it clear who he is: the Prince. It's a blast because he actually speaks Ixian and gives us clues about what the King might look like. My theory is that his appearance hasn't fully formed yet. His horns are really dark and much pointier than Abrams, and the skin on the top of his head is turning darker. I believe he isn't supposed to be fully red right now; as he grows up and prepares to receive the crown, his look will become scarier and more aggressive. Additionally, the arrow-like ornaments on his tail are likely there to display his royal status. also worth to add is that he actually controls a kind of Ixian magic which ofc should come by his monarch heritage.
The Eye Colour difference
Something i've noticed aswell is that Apollo has way different eye colours then Abrams, and with some close inspection ive noticed how his white side of the eye are dark gray-ish compared to the fully black eyes on the blue giant, and makes me wonder that maybe this is tied to the biology aswell, maybe Apollo hasnt fully develop his pigment on the eyes and thats why they look less brighter then Abrams and more light in colour. idk
With not much else to say on this, I'd like to hear y'all's opinions and speculations!
I gotta remind everyone that this is just a piece of my mind none of this is official, and I'm not sure if there's a way we can confirm it yet.
