The Siren - Drive By Tank / Distraction Character

Based on the more modern version of Siren Mythology. While technically a mermaid for lore reasons seen in Celeste's bio. The siren is a more primitive character who lives off the atlantic coast and is frustrated regarding the pollution and fishing happening in her territory, starving her. Essentially as a character she would be unfamiliar with social customs and norms and not speak or understand english very well. If I had to insert my own personal lore for reference it would be as follows: The dumping of waste from Fairfax and large amounts of fishing to make up for the influx of people moving to NYC as well as beings entering from Astral Gates has caused the Siren to grow hungry and become riskier, lurking around docks near Staten Island and feasting upon anyone unfortunate to be outside late at night. She hides in the sewers and overhears people speaking and she learns a very elementary form of english, while exploring through a sewer pipe, she manages to enter a segment of sewer tunnels to a government building and overhears about the ritual, she wishes to reclaim her home.


Design wise I would want her to be malnourished and have acid burns on her skin, still looking beautiful in contrast, but having that convey that her species are more glamoured and commercialized than what they really are which are rabid animals.

Gun: Harpoon (1 ammo/ Ammoless) Medium Range, High Damage - Essentially has 0 reload, but is very quick and has a retraction period, during the retraction period, enemies hit will be tugged slightly forward, but not launched to your location.

1) Cacophony - Release a loud shriek dealing spirit damage and reducing accuracy to enemies near you

2) Dismember - The Siren will be able to target an enemy and latch onto them and being "dismembering" them (Eating them alive). After a brief period of time a dismember stack will apply to the enemy and they will take huge spirit damage and suffer a minor bleed as well as movement debuffs. Each stack applies damage and an increasing bleed and movement slow. The Dismember will stop when The Siren cancels the ability, or she receives enough damage. (Enemies during this state will still be able to attack, but they can only hit her while being dismembered.

3) Scales (Passive) - Have an innate 15% Bullet reflection chance (scales with spirit) and take 60% reduced spirit on large hits. If the spirit threshold is broken the scales will break and the Siren will no longer have her bullet reflection chance and spirit damage reduction, but will have increased movement speed. Scales will need to recharge after (NOT AFFECTED BY COOLDOWN ITEMS)

4) Alluring Voice - The Siren will begin to sing and have increased movement speed, all enemies around her will have their vision severely blurred and accuracy reduced unless they are looking at her. The second The Siren dies or stops channeling the ability, this state will end.

My idea is essentially to have a hit and run character who can tank tremendously for a moment before backing off and running back in while being able to stop someone from attacking, or creating space for her allies. I also believe that this character will help utilize some of the lesser bought items in the shop and give them more use such as Cheat Death and Shadow Weave as they can blend with her kit much better. If I HAD to throw out a very unique concept for this character, I would have the idea of creating a sewer system she can enter and click on the map to go to a different manhole opening on the map (character specific teleporters) but I wouldn't really expect this and would probably create a lot of problems.
