T4 Vtiality item:Soul Rebirth

The respawn time increase is extremely punishing especially considering there's a way higher chance of you being closer to an enemy than a teammate on death.
Personally I'd remove the penalty and instead make it so you can only get soul rebirthed once per life (Soul Rebirth life doesn't count). And maybe instead of 50% health you could lower it to maybe around 30% so it's not too powerful.

I just don't think that a revive effect is appropriate for the item system. It's either going to be a very OP item that gets bought by all twelve players in a lobby (what we had with the original soul rebirth), or it's going to be so convoluted with an essay of conditions and very harsh restrictions to the point that nobody buys it.

id agree, tf2 only has a res when you're playing against bots, its just never fun for the opposing team. Its like imagine getting a geist low, she ults you to get all of her health back, then you get her low again, pops cheat death, then you finally kill her, and she revives.

This pretty much encapsulates all the problems with Rez items. It's just not the right place for this kind of effect. Cheat Death is pretty much as close as you might want to get for a "second chance" type item and it is actually really handy in the right situation (As in you keep getting focus fired REALLY hard as soon as you go in, so you need it to give your team time to come in and actually back you up) but it is super situational.
