I've seen many people ask for new Punch Items as they probably play short range Occultist, but to me one punch item is actually NEEDED !
Here's my take on it : Every punch Items as of now only strikes once per number of Punch, they , for most of them, give you instant Lifesteal/More damage/More Spirit damage. This is great to do insane damage to one foe at a time, especially in Late game where you usually see more people.
But ! My problem is, when in Laning phase, some encounters needs you to actually fight with your foe, specifically when you're on a Solo line, and even though these Punch items are very good at 1v1, I don't find them much of use at the start of the game, because people know they won't pick up a close fight with an Abrams or a Bebop (especially if the Bebop don't have his grab yet)
My idea would actually to put a punch Item that do, although small, longing damage (and I think Spirit would actually be cool) like a Bleed status, it would help a lot in case scenario like Abrams vs Paradox (who's mainly played with a Stamina build that helps them move a lot) because you won't be able to to get them at long range if they flee after your first Punch.
To not make it overpowered, it would be cool to have it actually nerf your base damage on Punches, like a trade for more damage on the long run instead of one Big powerful punch.
Making it a Spirit damage based items would be awesome because It would also benefit from Spirit Lifesteal. Moreover it could be an interesting counterpart to Spirit Strike.
Considering how an Item like this can be powerful with enough scaling, I think it could be a Tier 1 item that upgrades with better tiers.
As a Tier 1 it would do minimal longing effect , and the more you upgrade it the more the status effect deals damage
