Stunned as Yamato mid flying strike, many UI elements gone and shooting from sword

Was playing Yamato and got stunned as I just attached to an enemy with flying strike, and suddenly I appeared to be shooting from my sword, my ammo count was gone, and other UI elements were missing (patron/shrine health for instance). It returned to normal once I used the ability again. Match 126,017


It appears the game does a check at the end of flying strike to re-enable UI elements, and since I didn't reach that check due to me being stunned, I was stuck in that weird phase. Video 1 is the occurrence happening, video 2 is when it returned to normal (after using flying strike)

Bumping to say this happened to me recently in Match 345687 at around 14:40 to 17:12

Same circumstances (dying while grappling, although I don't believe me attempting to grapple shows in the replay, so perhaps Lag plays a factor), same problem where my UI was distorted. I had ABORT from the ability stuck on screen and the shooting/reloading felt like it was off. Ammo counter and reloading were totally gone.

Abilities worked fine and it was also fixed after completing a successful grapple.

Same thing happened to me, match id 496399 - around 28 min mark, i was hooked by bebop while i was mid flight, after that i couldnt see my ammo count or animations on my abilities and my ui was bugged. Left shortly after cuz it was safe to leave so not sure how long it wouldve lasted.

This has happened to me aswell in 2 separate games now. Upon review cause was dying while grappling to an enemy.

I was able to consistently recreate the glitch in the sandbox but it requires precise timing.
The glitch will persist even throughout multiple deaths so the only fix is grappling an enemy. Shooting and abilities still work, but projectiles are invisible and do not make sound. Animations become buggy, especially crouch and slide.

Happened to me as well. Playing bot match and was interrupted by Abrams shoulder charge during flying strike.

Was only fixed after being able to succesfully use another Flying Strike.
