Steam Update Available every few hours

Every few hours (have not been timing them yet) there is a small <50MB update that needs to be installed before I can queue for a game. Have not seen this issue on other games on Steam - saw another similar thread but the clearing cache did not resolve. Is this expected behaviour?

This is likely because they are constantly patching and updating the game to resolve various issues.

Yes, normally they are bug/crash/exploit etc fixes. Yoshi will occasionally comment on them in the playtest's Discord server; you can enter from: yoshideadlock in Discord's search bar to see his messages in the server.

You can also track most changes from this GitHub repository ran by the owner of SteamDB, but most of it will be fairly indecipherable.
