Souls per minute and total souls not adding up in post-match report

Trying to figure out where the turning in a game was - at one point we were ~35k souls ahead but soon after the opposing team had caught up. Eventually they overtook us and won the game.
In looking at the post game stats I noticed that we became roughly equal around the 28 minute mark but looking at the souls per minute chart it would seem to suggest that we should have retained a significant lead through to the end of the game.

I'm sure there will be a shutdown/comeback mechanic at work here but it currently looks like either the soul generation or the reporting is bugged as unless my maths is failing me catastrophically I don't believe this is possible
