Some items give worse stats after upgrading

Silencer as my example loses 5 spirit power after upgrading. I want the upgraded item to keep the stats of previous component if possible. This is not the only item that does this, many items lose shields and other stats upon upgrading. Please and thank you for the game.

Because Silencer for example is already cracked as it is and it losing 5 spirit power doesn't matter when it has one of the best actives in the game. For whatever other item you are talking about it would lose it's shield because they are meant as a means to protect you early in laning phase but then upgrade to have better stats without the laning phase/harass shield later.
