There are a number of abilities that, if interrupted very shortly after cast, will refund the cooldown but still play SFX/animations for all players.
For example, Kelvin, Vyper, Paradox and Sinclair ultimates, or even Dyanmo ultimate:

Ideally, if such a window were to stay, the hero should not shout their ultimate voiceline at the top of their lungs as if it actually went through.
