Slurs thrown around constantly with seemingly no punishment

Not sure where to post this so it's going here for now.

I love this game but I'm very concerned about the lack of action taken against toxic players and especially the ones saying slurs. Nearly every other game (in the low ranks especially) someone is cussing someone else out or calling them slurs. I know it's an early access game but I'm very concerned about the precedent going forward that this is allowed. The report button seems to do absolutely nothing right now (my wife reported someone who called her a slur and saw them again IMMEDIATELY in her next match).

I want to know, is this a priority for the dev team? Will any actions be taken on this issue before release? As it stands I cannot introduce this game to any of my friends because of how bad it is. Many of them are women and less experienced gamers who this isn't normalized for.

I don't have a match ID, I guess just look at any low rank game and there's probably a 25% chance someone on some team is calling someone else a slur.

Press Esc then click on the microphone icon next to the name of the person using slurs. Congratulations, you will never hear them again!
people having the mindset is simply miserable to play with because it creates a bad situation and they generally wont really play the game other than toxic voice chat. an action is better than bandaid

It's honestly wacky just how little enforcement there is lately. We went from banning people for pausing for 5 minutes into just letting white boys say the hard R in text chat for free.

They've stopped caring about this game and community. They are just working for paychecks and ready to move onto the next thing now. They are allowing porn post in an invite only forums. lol.

You saying "white boys" in this pejorative way is "racist," especially considering you have no clue the actual race of the people saying things in game.

I think people throwing around slurs is a very small price to pay in comparison to the alternative: an opinionated heuristic based punishment system. The latter has failed in every game I have seen it in. Dota 2 has arguably the worst punishment system in any game ever: very opinionated and very off-mark.

Hm, yes, gamers truly are the most oppressed minority, because they can't prove they have the N-Word pass when they say slurs in a video game.
