This would be a very interesting item that could even change the way you play. I really like Vyper because I find sliding fun, but I hate the rest of the champion, which is awful. This would be a fun item that could bring Vyper's sliding mechanic to other heroes.
 
ehmmmm -NO ONE would be able to catch anyone :ROFLMAO: add a stamina item and you'll be sliding for days. and +40% weapon dmg for 1600? way too OP.
Opening round costs 1600 and also increases by 40%, long range also increases by 40%, Intensifying Magazine increases by 45%, so slide mastery is at the same level.
 
we already have items that add slide distance, i don't think we need more, also the sliding part in vyper is what makes vyper unique
The slide isn't the only thing Viper has, and I don't see any problem with other heroes being able to slide like him either. And we only have about 2 items that increase slide distance, which are burst fire and fleetfoot.

They are gated on conditionals. People will not be incentivise to itemise other items, which includes not opting into it. It is in total 50% extra. That is more than half of Glass Cannon's value, at 1/4 of the cost, without the max health penalty. Add slowing bullets and you're at 3200, with 65%, 80% of weapon damage to Glass Cannon, and you can keep your health.

You will have people sliding for a while, no need to get extra ammo, extra stamina, which you are harder to kill + more health + more oportunity for feedback loop on surviving, especially when you pair it with inhibitor or something, and since it is cost effective, smurfing and high elo would be out of control.

If we take that away from Vyper, then Vyper won't be unique. Also Vyper is less likely to buy that item, because it is directly double stacking upon something Vyper has. Items should not be just copying from allies, making them essentially void on that character - that is anti synergistic directly.

This would absolutely make the game frustrating for the enemy players, and boring for the ally team.

What WOULD be an interesting item, is that for 1.6K, you can slide up walls, with your POV being slanted so you can aim at them, with greater sliding control when you're going up the wall, before you are forced to wall slide mode. And you gain +5 weapon damage upon sliding up a wall. Perhaps + Also a way to shoot whilst wall sliding as well, with greater grip and friction whilst sliding down. Slide distance can go very nicely with that, and can have a lot of use on characters, and initial momentum can increase slightly how much you can slide up.

Opening rounds is only 40% against enemies above 50% hp. This item effectively gives 40% weapon damage just for sliding. This also isn't bringing up the 10% as base stat, nor the ~9% from investment, bringing this items to a grand total of 59% from a single item. This is all from a 1600 soul item that straight up gives you another character's passive. That would be ludicrously broken.
