Siphon Bullets and Bloodletting interaction: damage displayed is not accurate

Shooting a Shiv with Siphon Bullets will show the 45 spirit damage from Siphon Bullets be reduced down to 31 by Shiv's Bloodletting passive (30% incoming damage deferred). However, checking Shiv's max HP will show that he in fact lost 45 max HP. The damage numbers are misleading.
