Kind of feels like Silencer should have an ICD per player targeted by it, it is definitely an item with a place in the game, but to be able to just completely stop a player from clicking their buttons for an entire fight is kind of crazy in my opinion. The item itself is fine the way it is, but if per target it would trigger a CD of like 3 seconds before that player can be hit by a silencer again following the expiration of the effect (Possibly raise the duration of the effect?) the item would feel far less oppressive while still providing value
 
I wholeheartedly agree! I was in a game where enemy Haze had it and it was just unfair in teamfights when she activated her ult. A cooldown before applying the silence effect would be a great change.
 
So you can get around 6-8 seconds of silence and item mute per target if you hit them in right timings. If not for haze ult you can use ricochet for that purpose. Item curse with same purpose but with included interruption, and drawback of having to land projectile and aim, have effect only a single target - lasts 3.25 seconds or 4.09 with duration extender. So silencer is superior in every aspect, but it cant interrupt.
Only thing that holding it from being absolutely broken is inability of most heroes to use it better than a curse item.
Definitely it has to be changed or made on pair with curse. Abuse while you can.
Only counter to silencer is holding for dear life before effect goes off or enabling unstoppable prior to getting hit. Idk why people still doesnt think unstoppable is not mandatory like boots.

It's a fucking joke for the only solution to haze ult + silencer to be somehow predicting when the INVISIBLE character is going to POP OUT and click one fucking button to wipe an entire team.
