Significant FPS Drops Since 10/2025

My self and others have been noticing quite harsh FPS drops in October. I mainly started experiencing it after 10/10/2025 where my frames go from 200+ down to ~90. I have a fairly good PC and haven't had issues up until recently. If I pause and relaunch mid game or delete cached shader files, the issue is temporarily fixed until the next game. I have others who have also seen the same such as getting ~20 frames during team fights or when using things like the Kelvin ice beam.

PC Specs:
  • CPU - 12th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-12700K 3.60 GHz
  • RAM - 32.0 GB
  • GPU - RTX 4090 (24 GB)
  • OS - Windows 10
  • Resolution - 1440p
In Game Settings:
  • I've attempted various combinations but to no avail. Prior to yesterday (the worse it has been), I have not changed a single setting nor changed graphics drivers. Before I was using DLSS, Quality, Texture quality: High, uncapped FPS (200+ frames consistently.).

I too have been having similar issues. On match start, everything is super smooth. But as the game progresses usually around 20-25 minutes. I start to have significant FPS issues drops to 3-4 FPS and sometimes fully freezes the game. About a month ago, I played like 9 games straight without a single hiccup on maximum settings. Now, I can't even get one in before starting to have these issues.

Alt-Tabbing oddly enough stabilizes it for about a minute then it goes back. I genuinely have played 4-5 matches where every couple of minutes I am alt tabbing to keep it stable. Even in the middle of fights. I have done everything from lowering everything in the games video settings, deleting NVIDIA shader caches, Steam shader caches, verifying files, running defrags on my drives, re-launching, re-booting, all the way down to re-installing the game. After a re-install, I was able to play a full match without much issue however, right near the end when we were pushing into the enemy base, I started to go below 30 FPS. The game ended before I could check further.

This has only been happening since the start of October.

Might be part of the issue, might not be, but I have also noticed that my RAM usage continues to grow while playing. Deadlock states it is only taking up 4GB of my RAM to operate but at the start of a gaming session I sit around 32% usage with 32GB of total RAM, by the end of a gaming session my computer is roughly at 60-75%. Could be Cached RAM as Windows 11 likes to do this now days. But I figured I would put it out there. No other apps were running during my last gaming session. Save for Steam and Deadlock.

EDIT: I should add my comp specs.

Same here and I don't use any application that people mention so it's not that. I used to have a constant 200+ fps now I barely get above 100 unless I'm on the edge of the map looking at the ground or something.

Yep it's all weird. I've tried playing with settings aswell and putting everything on low makes it feel smooth for like 30 seconds then it's completely laggy again.
