A disclaimer, first of all: I'm not entirely new to the game, but I wouldn't consider myself to be so familiar with the game to try my hand with many numbers, aside from some orientative ones. What I'm about to post is an idea, not a finished concept, although I would love to develop this further once I get proper feedback and once I familiarize myself way more with the balance concepts of the game. Also, I'm kind of rusty with English, but I hope this won't matter much.

Shiv, the Monster Hunter
Baxter Society's Finest
Innate: Shiv starts the game with a lever-action rifle. A heavy melee attack will switch his weapon to a short-range shiv, with which his attacks deal the same damage as a regular melee attack (as they don't count as melee attacks, it can't be parried). If he does a regular melee attack, he will switch back to his rifle. If Shiv is enraged, his shiv attacks have lifesteal and have wider range.
1) Shiv throws three knives (similar to Drifter's weapon attack) with low base damage that bleed enemies for a small amount of damage during a medium-long amount of time. The blood will leave a trail, indicating where enemies have went to. If Shiv is enraged, he gains bonus movement speed while following the trail and the enemy is exposed for 10 seconds, receiving extra damage from all sources.
2) (Similar to Trapper's silktrap) Shiv places a tripwire between to ground-level surfaces, which becomes partially invisible after 15 seconds. Enemies caught in the tripwire are exposed for 10 seconds. If Shiv is enraged, enemies are additionally revealed on the map.
3) Passive: Shiv accumulates rage every time he deals damage to an enemy hero, amplifying his other basic abilities. Active: consume your rage meter to regenerate a percentage of the meter as a percentage of max health over time. While enraged, the percentage of max health regenerated is amplified.
4) Shiv performs a dash forward with a slash, dealing a significant amount of extra damage to exposed enemies. If Shiv is enraged, he can also execute enemies below a certain threshold. Note: this is not a point-and-click; picture it as similar to his original 2 Dash ability with a whirlwind slash around him.
The objective of this rework is to stay faithful to the character lore and allowing him to be fairer to play against, while amplifying his sidelaning and solocarrying capability. It's (painfully obviously, I'm guessing) my first time giving this "character design" thing a go, so I hope you all have useful feedback for me!
