Based on the scrapped "Stabilizing Tripod" item.

The niche of this item is clear-- letting players be in two places at once. While the Homunculus is very weak, and has a limited life span, it's unlimited clip can do much for defense. In the chaos of an average Deadlock match, timing is everything. Arriving just a few seconds late to a teamfight or contested Walker can guarentee defeat, so giving players the ability to place a temporary defense at their current position can free them up to be more active and mobile.

Adding the requirement of Monster Rounds seemed thematically fitting for this item. It's a gun monster.

I like this a lot! I wonder if would need a damage nerf since the accuracy would be 100% or no because no headshots.

Edit: wait this would be busted on haze

I'd imagine they would inherent the aiming logic of McGinnis' sentries, and I don't think those can headshot?

As for Haze-- judging by a quick in-game test with a mod that re-enables the item, it *can* apply Fixation, giving it a strong damage output. However, the very low health of the sentry would make it fairly easy to tank the damage while you focus on destroying it.

Not many heroes can reach 4,000+ max health, even in late game. As such, nearly every single Sentry Homunculus will have less base health than the weakest start-of-the-round heroes, making them easier and easier to take out as the match progresses. That seems a fair trade-off to me, given the defense and offensive utility this item can offer in the early-mid game.

But with haze you could sleep, drop it, ult, and you're doing 235% firerate effectively.
