Before the most recent update that changed how some key binds work, you could use Right Click to self-cast abilities/items.
Now, it would appear that Zooming/Alt Fire takes priority. Even if you are in the targeting mode of the ability/item, it'll pull you out of the targeting mode if you press Right Click. Even after the recent hotfixes, this is still not working.
Would love to see this fixed/changed back!
