Hey, I was playing a game and I accidentally bought the wrong item, however as soon as I left the shop area, I could only sell this item for half its price, even though I left the shop for a second. My idea is either add a countdown( for example 10 sec) like in dota, and ONLY by the end of this countdown the item is halved in price, otherwise you have 10 sec to sell the item.
OR

completely new mechanic which perhaps could add more variety to the gameplay, strategies as well as help the new players to make less mistakes.
My idea is basically add depreciation mechanics. As an example, you buy an item which costs 10000 souls, end every 20 sec the item cost decreases by 500 souls(this number could also be a percentage of the max price) , this means after 20 sec you could sell the item for 9500 etc, until it is halved in price. Obviously I made all the numbers up for an example in order to make my idea easily understandable.
I also think that for this game reducing balance depreciation would be more suitable, since you could apply the same rate of depreciation to each tier of items, for example let’s take the same item which costs 10000 souls, and reducer the current price by 13%( depreciation rate per minute).
This would make :
10000-1300(13% of 10000)=8700(1 min)
8700-1131(13% of 8700)= 7569(2 min)
7569-984(13% of 7569)=6585(3min)
6585-856(13% of 6585)= 5729(4min)
5729-744(13% of 5729)=4985(5 min(final))
We got a little less than 5k since I used rough numbers in order for simplification and better clarity of my idea.
Thank you for the time you took to read my idea, and I hope you liked it!
