[Rework Idea] Bebop Exploding Uppercut Charge-Up

This idea has been floating around in my head for a few days. I play Bebop a-lot and I feel like his Exploding Uppercut could have some sort of rework. Now I am not saying the ability is particularly bad/sucks, but looking at his bomb and hook, perhaps it can have its own build identity/focus, if those are the right words.

Since Bebop is known to fight in the Bear Pit, it would be cool to lean more into a melee-focused build route considering he would be brawling a-lot. He has GunBop, the late once-stood king BombBop, and hook support (Idk if people play bebop support but still). Why not give an option to build into melee more? Or build into his 1 as an overall ability?

I was thinking that his Exploding Uppercut ability could be held down to be charged up. He would be slowed to a speed like when he is walking whilst ulting, and after 3 or so seconds, his left arm would be a glowing red with steam puffing out a bit. His charged-up state would have a duration, to which if it not used, his arm would cool down and he would have to wait for the ability cooldown. His charged arm would have 3 states, depending on how long you held the ability for. State 1 would deal a bit more damage than pressing his 1 like normal, and course 3 dealing the most damage.

The visual effect would look something like:

State 1 → faint glow
State 2 → brighter with steam
State 3 → glowing hot with heavy steam bursts

This is where it can go several ways. I think the one that is suited best is that he does melee damage to the enemy, or perhaps the melee damage would stay the same and instead, increased knock-back would be dealt to the enemy depending on the state. Maybe a mix of both? Other less interesting ones would be increased gun damage or bomb damage but I think those stray away from giving the ability its own identity.

I have little idea of how the tiers would work. Tier one would be something like granting the ability to charge (you would only be able to do a regular uppercut before this). Tier two would maybe be something like better scaling. Tier three could be a good amount of things honestly, and if I had to pick, maybe the enemy would get set on fire? I am really just throwing darts at the board but hopefully this gets the point across.

Course, there would be stuff like balanced cooldown times, damage, launch distance, etc. as to keep it grounded whilst not making it very OP.

Overall, I'm not saying "his current 1 is horrible and needs to be changed ASAP", but it could be a cool thing to see another play style for bebop.
