Graves is the most broken character I've ever seen in my life.I don't know why you let her have so much "gun damage", since she has auto-aim—if at least it was between 5-7 meters for her to be able to shoot you, it'd be fine—but she's literally the devil shooting from very far away.
Her passive doesn't make sense—why does this need to scale with magic? It was literally just leave "Essence Theft" without scaling with anything, 45% base until the end of the match. Graves players are taking inhibitors with this, and it's literally impossible to play; I go full build and end up with 0 damage when she or her skulls are attacking me.
The "Jar of Dead" is one of the most braindead skills I've ever seen in my life—the player literally throws 2 of them on the ground (using Echo Shard), then activates the heroic aura and starts attacking the target; it's literally almost impossible to survive that, and not all heroes do "ricochet" to counter it.
And "Grasping Hands" is totally broken. Why can't I just jump over it? If I do, I take the most cabalistic stun possible, because she'll explode me with "Jar of Dead" + "aimbot gun".
The ult "Borrowed Decree" is totally broken—the guy spams ult the entire match, completely breaking the game's flow; it's almost impossible to protect the Walker with it attacking. Why so many ghouls and why do they do so much damage? I don't think you put this in the game to kill others, but to force the Walker, which was also a bad choice since they can do both without even Graves being present.
All the people who play Graves don't play her because she's fun (because she "would be" fun), but because it's fun to torture other players—there's no way a person can have fun with a character that does everything for her; it's simply unbearable. You created the worst kit in history with this character—literally impossible to mid-boss with it, impossible to fight up close, impossible to do anything; just give up and pray the Graves player is a complete idiot troll who fucks up or feeds a carry for free.
All the "McGinnis" players now play this character—I already didn't like McGinnis, but at least she had to aim, whereas Graves is too idiotic and doesn't even need that.
PLEASE, save the character design (which is very good, by the way), but exclude her entire kit and create something skillful please—I can't take it anymore.

You can't be serious. I guarantee you this is a skill issue. She's not a very good character at all. Her weapon has no reach and her dead heads can be instantly erased easy. The zombies are literally free souls if you have monster rounds. She has no mobility and she's so frail she can easily be killed, literally just catch her.

1 - Heads don’t break with a single shot.
2 - Ghouls don’t give that much money; if used poorly, it will end up feeding the carry or whoever is under the walker, because it creates a big wave, and if that big wave is used properly, it destroys the walker.
3 - She isn’t easy to kill. If she attacks me and I use disarm hex on her, the skulls keep attacking me. Because of that, I’d have to ambush her and use disarm hex before she even sees me, and only after that ult her. In other words, I have to put in way more effort just to try to kill her, while she literally does nothing and kills me.
4 - She has aimbot and the range isn’t short. Ideally, the range should be around 5–7 meters, so she wouldn’t be able to go for a gun build, which makes no sense that it works at all, especially since mina gun is terrible. She should be even worse than mina when it comes to gun builds.
5 - The skulls attack on their own without her even needing to shoot at you.
6 - If she dies, the ghouls keep spawning and the skulls stay alive, which shouldn’t happen, since she’s a necromancer.

I am Oracle II, don't think that is too low. And not bait. Seriously, she isn't that hard to deal with for all the points above. She does nothing if you stand outside 17m's she literally cannot hurt you. Her gun range is 17m and her ability ranges are the same, save her ult. You can jump over her wall or better double jump over.

but you can’t jump over her wall — you have to double jump to avoid getting stunned. Seventeen meters is way too much for a character with aimbot, so she procs Mystic Shot with Restorative Shot all the time and for free. In other words, she doesn’t need any skill at all to be oppressive and immortal in lane.


You know why not every hero builds these two items? Because you actually have to hit your shots. But with our dear Graves, that’s not a problem at all, since there’s no way to miss.


I don’t even know what’s worse: playing against her building ult, building gun, or going hybrid. It’s insane how she can reduce my damage to zero because of her passive, while I’m sweating just to maintain insane tracking.

I don't know man. She seems to be on average the same as most of the newer heroes. She is a bit high on the win rate, but that is because she has a low skill ceiling and great for all the new and returning folks who aren't great at the shooter part of Deadlock. She is popular for how easy she can be to play, especially against lower ELO. But notice her pick rate has dropped by nearly 25% this past week.

She'll probably level out to like 49%-51% win rate overall here in a few weeks. Which puts her just above Silver and Rem.




Not really trying to invalidate your experience with her. Just saying there might be a bit more than just the hero being broken. She can be out skilled/played fairly easily if her player isn't decent. She is a skill gap hero, making not so great players good and good players great.

However, she is incredibly boring to play. Her popularity will die another week or so. Since she isn't exciting most great players won't be playing her and using better heroes with better kits. That just leaves not so great players using her to be good. That alone will lower her pick and win rate a lot. Plus, I am sure they have more changes and nerfs coming to each of the new heroes over the next 2-3 weeks.

Look, checking overall win rate isn’t fair, and I can prove it.

Top 1 Graves player: “TANNER” has a 71.4% win rate with her.
Top 2 Graves player: “deathy” has a 65.7% win rate with her.
Top 3 Graves player: “mutt meat” has a 71.1% win rate with her.

Since Graves is a relatively new character and a lot of people are testing her — both high-elo and low-elo players — her overall win rate ends up being dragged down, which makes us believe information that isn’t actually accurate.

On top of that, Graves’ learning curve is literally tiny; it only takes a few matches to learn how to play the character.

Using Slowing Hex would be a good choice, but she uses Slowing Bullets and can stack it in just 15 shots.

Before the big new update, Graves players used to play McGinnis, specifically to keep forcing the walker, and McGinnis was counterable — extremely slow, few abilities, big hitbox. Graves, on the other hand, puts up a wall during her ult, spawns a bunch of heads, and keeps forcing the walker with someone else. There’s nowhere for you to run — you just accept your fate, earning 30 souls for killing one ghoul while getting completely destroyed by a Graves.

In lane against almost every character, I do well, but when it’s Graves, I start crying in the fetal position because I already know I’m going to get stomped without being able to do anything.

I do find her 1st ability kinda... meh. I do like the idea of having a bunch of skulls attacking enemies, but when I found out that you can kill the skulls with bullets or melee, I was kinda turned off by it.

Other than that, I think the rest of the kit is good. I just cannot, for the life of me, understand why would anyone wanna do gun builds on her, her weapon isn't even that good, damage-wise.

I'd just go for full Spirit builds instead, y'know, be a Spirit Nuker, But that's all just an opinion I've had about Graves for a while now.
