Returner: An orange item that essentially does X marks the Spot from Kunkka in DOTA. Suggested price: 1250
  • Increases Melee damage by 15%.
  • Non-targetable/non-projectile melee range damage skills will amplify the power of your next melee attack by 20% for 10 seconds upon impact. (Siphon Life, Shoulder Charge, Shoulder Uppercut, Bullet Dance, Singularity, Flame Dash, Concussive Combustion, Stone Form, Ground Strike, Flog, Scorn, Burrow, Enchanter's Satchel, Affliction, Storm Cloud, Goo Ball, Last Stand, Crimson Slash)
  • ACTIVATABLE: Mark the location you're in upon activation. After 8 seconds, you will interrupt yourself and return to that spot instantly. Any Non-targetable/non-projectile non-ult melee damage skill will have its cooldown cut in half when used under this effect. 40 second cd.

The idea with this Item is to give a way for melee focused heroes a chance to do some harassment. The self interrupt prevents it from being used as outright initiation as to not usurp the role of a Warp Stone or Phantom Strike. The reduced cooldown while using it allows you to mainly worry about the health exchange over upcoming kill potential. Specifying non ultimates makes sure it doesn't turn into a cheesy Pocket strat while still having a standardized definition on what skills it effects. The melee amp would be an interesting reward as you would only get so much time to make use of it if using the activatable.

While being a good tool to deal with heroes who can play safe from afar, I also think it would be a good way to allow those types of heroes a way to try to regain some ground if they are losing. It would let them farm with a little less worry and prevent situations where they feel powerless to get back in the game without other players carving a path. It not giving any tankiness or lifesteal also means it can't be spammed easily unless the hero has a skill like Scorn or Crimson Slash. You still have to think carefully about getting in and hitting a skill but don't need to worry about getting out.
