I was playing support Dynamo the other night and my buddy was lash. He was charging his ult when I rescue beamed him - just the heal part, not the pull - Which had cancelled his ult.
It happened a few more times in that game before we figured out what was happening. Unfortunately I can't seem to find the match itself but recreating this should be fairly simple. Lash press r, dynamo (or anyone) use the heal part of rescue beam on Lash. It should cancel lash ult.
