Rejoining and finishing a match shouldn't lead to a ban

I had to leave a match for less than 4 minutes to console my kid. I came back and finished the match out, even won the match, but still got a ban. Or at least make it so we can still join a private bot match until the timer is done.

i wish that they would look at ping or some sort of other metric to help determine whether to ban or the length of the ban, i understand a 10-20 minute ban for me not maintaining my crappy internet, but lumping me in with the people rage quitting for no reason and getting a 5 hour ban kinda on the lame side.
