Ranked has been Initiate 2 and has not moved in 2 months of consistent play

I had played early on in testing, and nowadays I have been working to improve, and my rank just doesn't move. Even though I perform well in nearly every game, and even though i've played with friends who were new to the game i taught to play, who got promoted out of initiate while I'm playing with them, yet I'm still hard stuck....

The matchmaking works in mysterious ways. If you have any calibrated characters with a red arrow you should play those until they're green. it might be that issue. Or you have a bricked account, in which case, rest in peace, you cannot rank up (or down but you can'T go down) until valve manually adjusts your rank

I have 5 "main" characters that are green up arrows. But it just seems the account is screwed.

But the bigger issue is that it seems there's many people with this exact bug - stuck at exactly Initiate 2.

And from what I see, this implies those of us caught with this bug are stuck in matchmaking that is equating "Initiate 2" players who are highly skilled are considered equal to brand new players with no history...

Of course the matchmaking isn't in a great place in general (as you can see by all the complaints), but it feels like I'm stuck in a true "ELO hell" that is a combination of brand new players alongside players from every rank that are "stuck" - meaning it's truly RNG...

I have the opposite problem. I can't get my account to stop climbing in rank other than to stop playing.

At some point the "skill" rating system decided I didn't belong in Seeker and starting to rapidly accelerate my rating all the way to Emissary even with an abysmal win rate of 20-30%. That's because wins were enormous jumps through entire ranks but losses were a drop in only 1 subrating at most.

Skill, experience, or wins really don't seem to matter to the skill rating system. I don't know what metrics they use to determine how good a player is but it doesn't seem to be working. Perhaps they are experimenting with different metrics for different players?

Or maybe it's because I play a wide variety of heroes and none of them have red or green arrows (all of them are double grey down arrows, even my most played) and that's messing with the system somehow?

Maybe, mine have single green arrows upward for the 5 mains, and double down grey arrows for the rest.

I wouldn't mind if the matchmaking wasn't just the best quality and needed work, but completely broken ranking is very discouraging!
