Rank system - Need someone to explain it a little more.

Very simple & short like the title. I'm unsure about the rank system.
4-6 months ago I hit Archon 4 before i took a break from deadlock because I went on a losing streak of 22 & still didn't de-rank, as well didn't improve rank.
when I return to the game now, I understand I'm starting from the dirt again, just now i'm going on 8-9 win streaks and losing 2-3 games. stuck around Alchemist 1-6. If i lose a game, i lose 2-3 full chips to my rank. if I win, I'm not sure how many more games I need to win until one day it shows back to alchemist 5 or 6.

I can't see a Number, Just a up or down that still doesn't ad up to my game stats. I'm not great but I can tell people in my games are going to hate me because it feels like fake smurfing. same time I haven't reached the highest rank so idk im bad still.. I bullied some poor new seven player because I understood more then him. it's not fun to pub stomp or get pub stomp.

My question is.
performance based or win/lose trade system.
OR something i don't understand.

I did understand each game I played, it wants me to adapt to a playstyle like diving, aping or flanking more. So I see whatever that maybe. I see it showing my next moves on who to target per game. I understand it also puts me up vs players who will try anything to clip my wings. I don't get how to earn elo if a win doesn't give me anything or the menu doesn't show my progress other then Up & down arrows. I like to know if I went up even a 0.01.

Sorry i just try to click mouse 1 & learn/grind my games.
I do understand this game hasn't even touched beta stages yet.
Id like to understand so i can give feedback in the future. Thank you.

win/lose system

Additionally the algorithm takes account for returning players and new accounts for proper rank calibration

You did have an experience which can be considered "anomalous"
But the main topic of the post seems to revolve around you asking a genuine question. In the future, it might be better to post them in places like the discord server or reddit.

If you do wish to leave feedback on the game, such as for matchmaking, make sure you use the proper subforums. When you don't know which should you be using, the "general gameplay" is the go to.

I wasn't sure where to post since the other seem private & locked away from all. id like to know as much as I can from the community if they know about the system more too.

I know most games just go with win/loss systems but doesn't explain how I can win 3 games & still lose elo. Lose 2 games & earn.
Unless the system is like super delayed. something like the old one but with a 6-12 hour wait period so I can now see my new rank live as i earn it later in the day
