Rank stuck on initiate 2 (VALVE FIX THIS PLEASE)

It's true, as a community, we have received/are receiving a huge number of reports from people in the game saying that they win a lot, but their rank never increases from Initiate 2. (There were over 120 reports).

do you know why this is happening and if anyone is planning on acknowledging it?

iirc it updates weekly, also you playing solo/duo might be the issue

Can confirm. I went from Oracle 6 to Phantom 1 by literally doing nothing, when I sense my MMR is going all over the place.

Also, I swear, because there is a twitch video of someone losing 7 games in a row, under 20 min losses, and ended up oracle 1, I notice at times, only 1 teammate plays more poor than some seekers. I geninuely think the matchmaking has some serious flaws. This needs addressing, and it is not making me have fun. The product will flop if Valve does not consider this.

Hopefully, knowing Valve, they are aware and they are cooking a giant matchmaking gumbo as we speak.

I think this is because of poor match calibration. Matchmaking score is not reflecting with rank given. See twitch video above.

Aye don't worry about it bro, the acct I started with this last month has 600 games players and I was initate for a good portion of it, that acct is now Alc/Arc, but I will say that my New account that i made to performance max is currently sitting at Emissary 3 with 16 games played 12 won, so LOWK, JUST LOWK. I think it might just be possible if your rank hits as low as initiate 2 then, it's for a reason, and then game intends for you to learn.
I'm saying this as a guy who spent over 300 games trying to break out of Seeker and once I made a new acct I instantly shot up through the ranks.

So yeah, it's gonna be a lot harder trying to fix your rank now, but i promise your rank isn't budging because you aren't winning/the reason for winning, not just because of some tech error that may exist.

But i did break out of initate 2, so it can be done. it's not broken.

When you say fresh account, you mean a fresh steam account? I'm stuck in Ascendant 4 despite having like an average kda of 4/2/15 (on statlocker over last 200 games)

Eeeeh, I mean, even in my phantom/oracle games, I get people who straight up do not belong there. Same issues are also present in Ascendent lobbies as well. K/D/A is somewhat of a reflection of capability, though, you have to have in mind the macro game, strats, theory crafting, etc. K/D/A and soul count causes you, or rather, is reflective (either way goes) of you gaining a lead, and capitalising on it.

Surely there must be some people who absolutely do not belong in that rank, and cause people to have unstable mmr's. I was able to climb oracle extremely quickly, but then I hit phantom, and don't get me wrong, most teammates play well, but you get someone who loses their mind (or good chunk of the team) and games that should be winnable, end up being thrown. I had to deal with an e5 smurf (as shown on their statlocker) on the enemy team, and a pocket that played worst than seekers I know. Everyone agrees matchmaking sucks. Why can't you? What experience do you have that we don't have? We as in, the community. From eternus, to even initiate. Literal evidence showing otherwise.

I don't have any insider info or anything, so this is pure speculation, but lefaa has made dozens of accounts. He might be marked as a smurf which makes his ranks default to higher.

Shouldn't he be banned if it detects smurfing? How would that be possible?

Valve bans people and they just make new accounts and keep playing. I don't know why, but they are very lax about cheaters and smurfs.
