Basic Backstory: The soul of a young boy from Chinatown that got lost on the way to the afterlife. Because of his immature, idealistic dreams, he desired to remain within the world, and his spirit became attached to a spare parade puppet that resembled a Qilin, one he'd always loved whenever he saw it on the street. Ever since, he's spent his time roaming the streets of New York City in search of whatever party or celebration he can join in on, regardless of the damage he might cause to those he's intruding on.
Primary Fire - Left click spouts a short range, rainbow colored flame (Think a shorter Kelvin Ice Beam but a bit wider and without the slow), Right click launches a long range ball of mystic energy that deals reduced splash damage (Similar arc to McGuiness ult (Kogmaw ult from LoL))
Ability Breakdown:
1. Mystical Fireball - Lob a large ball of fire at an area in front of you, leaving a burning patch that reduces spirit resistances if you stay in it for too long (1.5-2 seconds perhaps)
Upgrades:
1 - Increase radius of fireball by 2 meters
2 - Increase damage (or duration) of burning patch
3 - Reduce time to apply spirit resistance debuff by .5-1 seconds
2. Free Spirit - Fly a set distance in a chosen direction, dealing small burst of damage to any enemy passed through while healing and applying a movement speed buff to any teammates hit.
Upgrades:
1 - Increase distance traveled by a set amount (20-30%?)
2 - Increase damage dealt to enemies passed through
3 - Apply 20% slow to enemies hit for 2 seconds
3. Street Parade (Channeled Ability) - Set off a parade around you, bewitching any enemy players within a radius around you to party for 1-2 seconds before increasing all melee damage regardless of team within radius (PLEASE USE THE TF2 CONGA EMOTE)
Upgrades:
1 - Increase duration of bewitching debuff by .5 seconds
2 - Increased max duration of parade by 2-3 seconds
3 - Allies within radius of the parade gain increased fire rate, melee damage, and have their parry timers reduced by 1 second.
4. Destructive Dream - Stick out your horn and go on a rainbow-colored rampage, running forward and bouncing off walls three times before coming to a stop. Any enemies in your path are damaged and knocked back, stunning them.
Upgrades:
1 - Reduce cooldown by 10-15%
2 - Add 2 bounces to max
3 - Deal increased damage to enemies if they are thrown into a wall or another enemy
How I see Qilin played:
- Gun build, focusing on either short range sustain damage for left click flamethrower or long range poke with right click mortar-style fire
- 1 Build: Damage-Oriented, Build for duration, reach, and damage to make burning patch as large and dangerous as possible for big team fights
- 2 Build: Support-Oriented, Build for extra charges, reach, and healing to offer help when joining or during an ongoing fight, or chasing a fleeing enemy
- 3 Build: Pure Support, Build for duration, reach, and tank to survive as long as possible in the center of the parade, which is ideally a game-wide fistfight
- 4 Build: Damage-Oriented, build for extra charges, reach, and damage to inflict as much chaos on the enemy team as possible in a big fight
