Problem with certain players manipulating matchmaking.

Timeframe: I've been investigating this for some time over the last week.

Issue: I've noticed two main problems. I've started playing games in Ascendant rank.

issue one: I have ran into confirmed at least two separate cheaters. While I can't say with certainty, I have some fairly damming evidence. (see below)

Issue two: Eternus players playing with oracle / phantom players to play & farm lower ranked players.

issue one evidence:
Case and point, this player with an 85% win rate, average 70% accuracy rating. The only games they lose are when their teammates don't do well in lane.



issue two evidence: This players first ever game was Feb 28th, 2026.


Question: Is anyone actually reviewing reports, and is there any plans to increase cheat detection / punish cheaters?

Suggestion: Implement avenues for community feedback / review of replays or further ways to report cheating.
have players only able to queue at higher ranks within a certain skill level.

Bump, phantom to ascendent games have this issue with Eternus players using lower ELO players and end up somewhere atound phantom-ascendent and ruining games.

Agreed this is a serious issue with matchmaking, Eternus players only need one lower ranked friend to guarantee get phantom lobbies and the cheating problem is becoming a bigger issue with the games increased popularity.

Good post. This is some Pulitzer Prize-deserving shit. Matchmaking with a party should only consider the highest ELO player.

They didn't banned a well known cheater in eternus rank for like a 4/5 months and right now that guy is just disappeared i guess they banned him idk, he was doing all those things with his brand new steam account. Maybe yoshi was chose that guy as a test subject for the new anti cheat.

so, theres another bug where you can have high win rate but your account was placed in initiate 2 and is now stuck there... people have been using this to get easy wins by teaming up with people who's accounts have had this issue (mine has) so... without knowing, my GF is VERY MUCH guilty of this because we've been playing together and im still getting ONLY matched with initiate players (I STOMP SO HARD... WHY AM I HERE???)

incase anyone is wondering, last i checked she's ascendant 3 now, might have gone up cause we've been on a massive win streak.

and if you're wondering if im just bad, i made a new account to test, i got placed ritualist 6 and im still stomping there... that account has around 60-70% win rate atm (like 50ish matches) and i only been solo queuing on it, thats what i use to practice because my main is just stuck...

edit : oh right... i forgot to say, but my second account is currently archon 1, its getting there!

edit 2 : also here's a suggestion : if you get queued with people who's ranks are WAY too low for your own rank, it should not count. at all. not even be shown on your profile or count as a win or even a game in your profile. it shouldnt move mmr either. that way you cant exploit it for ranking or get bragging rights for having high win rate.
