I saw on Twitter that there might be a priest/vampire-hunter type of champion coming, and that got me SO excited!!!
And like… imagine how cool he could be. Mina and Drifter already have such AMAZING visuals and themes, seriously, they’re so badass. Mina especially — her gameplay is super fun, creative, unique, everything about her hits just right. Drifter’s aesthetics are insane too, even if his gameplay isn’t as creative as hers. So I’d love if this priest ended up having ability design as cool and creative as Mina’s. That would be perfect.
I also imagined a really cool ultimate he could have. Something like an exorcism. A et, close-range ability, kinda like Mo Krill’s ult (in range and target in a similar way) . When he starts the exorcism, the target would float a bit while he lifts his hand,single-targ like he’s controlling them, and he could start saying something in Latin or some creepy ritual voice.
During the exorcism the enemy wouldn’t be able to move or cast abilities, only do basic punch attacks and look around, just to give that “helpless” feeling. If the exorcism completes, the target could either die or get banished, I don’t know, something dramatic and cool like that. But the exorcism should be interruptible by enemies, by stuning, silecing or killing the priest, so teammates can actually save the person. And you’d be able to see how close it is to finishing by how high the target is floating.
He could also use stuff like salt on the ground to block areas or zones, like preventing enemies from entering certain spots. Imagine using that on mid-boss… that would be SO fire.
Idk, it’s just really fun to think about what a priest could be in this whole “cult” scenario. Or maybe they go in a totally different direction and make him a healer, a blesser, something more supportive. There’s so much potential.
