playing on region servers across the world

i keep getting put in lobby's that aren't my region such as Europe of Oceania this is the 2nd time in two days and not the only times aswell i had to abandon at the start of the game due to ping being at 200 and just being unplayable. now im in low prio lobbys for what not wanting to play in my own region?

Are you using a VPN?
I think you can force a region in-game opening the console (F7) and typing

North America
citadel_region_override 0
Europe
citadel_region_override 1
Asia
citadel_region_override 2
South America
citadel_region_override 3
Oceania
citadel_region_override 5
Default
citadel_region_override -1

you might need to restart the game after.
not 100% sure if still works.
