Taking away cosmetics that people earned and have attachments to would only serve to piss people off. A move like that would practically be a one-way ticket to overwhelmingly negative. Even Overwatch 2 didn't take away people's skins. If they really don't want to keep skins based off an old model in the game, they should just replace them with an item promising an exclusive Christmas skin in the future. They arent going to be because they are slapped together. Abrams one isnt even on his new model. All the models are going to be replaced by release anyway so having such a low-quality set on skins based on pre-release assets is ludicrous.
I know that you are only suggesting such a thing for personal monetary gain anyway
And they are working on adding some achievment record mechanic. So you may get something for it in the future, whether thats just a badge or something maybeThe items will be removed from the game, confirmed in discord
you can invite these people or they can ask in specific places for the invite. if we are here, playing and getting the skins it means we are more interested in playing the game at this state and should get some special achievement for this.I like the idea of getting acknowledgment for earning the Christmas skins, but I don't think it's fair for newer players to be locked out of 22 unique skins just because they weren't invited to the game's alpha. Also, I'm pretty sure most of the cast are just going to get new models in general, so the current Christmas models won't hold up for long.
I'd be fine if we did keep them, but I wouldn't make them one-time only or tradable.
