I have 16 gigs of ram on WIN10.
Nothing open, only Task Manager, Steam and Chrome.
Chome instance with A SINGLE Chrome tab of YouTube takes 1.5 gigs of ram.
(modern web is pathetic)
If I don't close chrome entirely before running Deadlock - I get consistent repeatable out of memory hard crashes from Deadlock.
This obviously happens when preloading of the map and shaders starts.
Ram usage spikes up to minimum of 7-8 entire gigs for deadlock.
As said above - if ANYTHING is using even a gig of ram while that ram usage spike happens - Deadlock crashes.
I suggest at least removing a hard crash, and wait until the OS can allocate more of virtual memory.
Because a minimum 8 gig ram spike with a fall down to 3 gigs in the actual game is crazy.
Either slow it down with the spike, or softly handle out of memory responses from the OS instead of hard crashing.
