The text implies that any death while under the effect should cause you to keep the stack permanently, but assists do not actually seem to work. Also, the text makes no mention whatsoever of a distance falloff for the HP stolen. Unclear whether either or both of these are bugs or intended. If they're not bugs, the text should be updated.
