The Spirit Damage on this item is set as a flat value. This means characters with high inherent fire rate will have an insane amount of effective damage output.
Vyper has base 13 bullets per second, so the effective dps from this item would be 780. This item only makes sense if the spirit damage is proportional to base weapon damage, such as with Mercurial Magnum.

Gotcha, makes sense. Thanks for the tip. I thought Mercurial Magnum added a flat amount as well, since it's expressed in the tooltip as a flat number instead of as a %.

Mercurial gives flat damage on the ability cast, but the bonus damage per bullet is expressed as a percentage of their base bullet damage.
