I assume this is because the bonus amp damage from Barrage is treated like its own spell effect, so any damage you do from spirit will get its damage amp applied, the game treats the damage amp like a cast of Barrage, then applies Mystic Reverb.
It deals 40% of the amped damage, so its super low. But really annoying lol.
