As the title says these items don't seem to trigger on puddle punch, the same is true for the for the upper cut portion Bebop's Exploding Uppercut ability although both Items are triggered during the subsequent explosion portion of the attack. Perhaps this is a bugged interaction between Items and abilities that apply light melee damage as there damage type. However if this is not a bug and is in fact an intentional interaction, the items description need to do a much better job at explaining what they do and do not apply too ability wise. That or simply stop the items from being purchased in the store and imbuing abilities that cannot utilize their capabilities.
