Since it was given a range limit, it seems it should probably be affected by ability range as well, no?

it might be capped to its max limit similary to kelvin beam T3 ricochet range.

I believe its intentional so players dont accidentally grief themselves kinda like with bloodletting not being imbuable by duration(even though it has it). The range could also be a fixed value, as pointed out by the user above
