Skaterboy is a spirit-oriented character. His unique mechanic, enabled by Ability 3, is his trusty skateboard. Which he can toggle to ride.
Once riding, Skaterboy can enable his abilties, some of which scale with horizontal movespeed but at the cost of his turn rate.
Skaterboy can also lose his skateboard when enemies heavy melee him or when he uses ability 1 - which he would have to pick up or he will be limited in terms of functionality.

Ability 1: Aftershock
Can only be used while riding the Skateboard

You launch your skateboard at the crosshair and instantly lose all forward momentum, while the board continues its trajectory. You can continue to control the trajectory by moving your mouse (Similar to Wraith cards)

After launching the board, at any point, you can reactivate this ability to detonate the skateboard, unleashing an aftershock that deals spirit damage around it. This damage scales based on the board's horizontal speed at the moment of detonation. After the explosion, the board drops to the ground and must be manually retrieved by Skaterboy.

A common combo is to ride with Ability 3 to build up speed, then jump and launch the skateboard into the target for max damage

This works similar to Holliday's barrel + melee - kinda

Ability 2: Skate Aura

This ability casts a curse around the skateboard, creating a 10m AoE that silences any enemies within it for 4 seconds. If Skaterboy is currently holding the skateboard, the silence field will be centered on him; otherwise, it will be centered on the dropped skateboard.

Ability 3: Ride Skateboard

This ability has a passive and a toggle.

Passive: being hit by a heavy enemy melee attack will cause you to drop the skateboard, preventing some abilities from being used until you pick it up, though the board will eventually teleport back to you if left too long.

Active: (TOGGLE) Lets Skaterboy jump on his board and ride, gaining increased forward speed which accelerates over time, but significantly decreasing his turn rate. While riding, Skaterboy gains health regen that scales with his horizontal speed, and he can be interrupted by an enemy heavy melee, which completely stops his mobility.


Ability 4: Reap Flames

Skaterboy commands his skateboard to reap spectral flames for a short duration, causing it to leave a tall flame behind that deals spirit damage and lingers. The flames are not see through.

The flames are like tall walls that are VERY punishing to cross, causing tremendous damage. Basically ,you wouldn't want to cross them.
Skaterboy should use this ability to cut off enemies from their team or control a wide area in a teamfight.
Combo: Gain horizontal speed, activate ult, launch the skateboard via 1 to block off a risky area with the flames without putting yourself at risk.
