Mouse breaking/movement bug

Randomly in games my mouse will stop working and won't move or will move kinda backwards and in weird ways or just entirely stop. I thought it was my mouse battery dying or my mouse starting to go, I ended up tabbing out of the game and back in and my mouse started working perfectly again.

I don't have any match ID's I'll edit/add them in next time it happens. I've had it happen over the past few days a few times (on different patches, so far on the latest I haven't had it happen but will still update if it happens again).

I had another two games today where this bug happened. Sorry I forgot to grab the time/match ID.

It seems to possibly have something to do with OBS and streaming. When I'm not streaming I haven't encountered the bug though when I am it seems to appear, not frequent though when it happens it's a huge issue, as tabbing out or pressing esc basically freezes the game for multiple seconds and I can come back to being dead or very nearly because of being frozen in one place for that time.

Can confirm I have the exact same thing happening. I think for me it was right when I got a kill instead of dying.

I had my mouse stop moving in few instances, but I got it repaired every time by alt-tabbing. And I tend to alt-tab a lot, so may be it helps?

Try alt-tabbing at least once before your first game, as a temporary crutch before this issue gets fixed.

Also this happens in other games when a controller is connected. Try disconnecting any controllers before starting the game.

Normally while we don't find a match i'm on alt-tab, and also when I'm killed, but tried also not alt-tabbing to see if that was the problem and doing it or not the problem continued on every match, sometimes right at the start others in the middle of it

Same, even disconnecting my keyboard didn't stop the character movement and turning of my mouse didn't stop firing.

Same issue.
It is actually worst after this recent patch. Mouse will stop working 4 times per games instead of the usual once every 3 games.
The way i fix it atm is to alt-tab out and back in. but not super fun.

The solution I got was to not change ANY keybind, instead I've chaged my keys on iCue and then it stoped the error.

Bumping this thread.

It's been way more frequent since the updates today. I can't play a game without my mouse "disconnecting from the game" the only ways to fix this is alt+tab or esc. Which causes a HUGE lag spike and has multiple times today resulted in my death.

Is there any chance we can get an update on this bug/causes etc?

I'm pretty sure one of the games was definitely 17592532 though I'm unsure of what time it happened.

I also have this issue. I usually Alt+Tab and then when I tab back in my game freezes for a second and then I can use my mouse again.
I tried to see what happens if I don't tab out, and it doesn't seem to fix itself if I don't.

Seems to have gotten much more frequent per match after the 10-29-2024 patch, going from like 1-2 times and only early in the match... to 4+ times repeatedly. Only way i've found to fix it it alt tabbing [or restarting, but the bug seems to be tied to some triggering event and will return regardless of what method is used]... often resulting in lost opportunities or deaths.

Only in deadlock, no other shooter games have any issues like this [CS2, Valorant, TF2, DRG, etc]. Using a G502 Hero [wired] mouse from logitech, with GHub software up to date.

I actually didn't have this issue for a while, and I feel like recently it started happening again.

I've had this issue as well since I started, however like an earlier post, it used to be once a game or once every couple games, but with a recent patch (a couple patches ago) I've been getting it a few times PER game.
