Apologies if this isn't the right place to post this as it's not direct item suggestions, but I think it could be interesting/exciting to have more items where the only benefit outside of the base item stats that all items have is the effect that they give when activated/proc'd.
It seems like a lot of items, especially Actives are loaded with so many additional stats on top of the effect(s) that they already provide once they're activated.
I think having more items like Quicksilver Reload, which has no additional stats whatsoever outside of it's base Spirit but it's value is in the effect of the item itself could lead to some interesting builds and gameplay.
Going down this route items could be made that are effectively temporary extra powerspikes or Actives could be tweaked to be even more powerful, with the downside being that when they're not active they don't give lots of extra random stats on top, hopefully allowing for easier balancing.
Not an actual idea, but as an example:
- Currently Heroic Aura; 16% Bullet Lifesteal, 150 Bonus Health, 1m/s Move Speed, and the default 14% Weapon Damage - Active; Move Speed and Fire Rate to you and nearby allies; 2m/s Move Speed, 25% Fire Rate, 30m radius, 6 sec duration.
- Tweak Example Heroic Aura; No additional stats, just the default 14% Weapon Damage - Active: Move Speed and Fire Rate to you and nearby allies; 4m/s Move Speed, 50% Fire Rate, 30m radius, 6 sec duration.
