MM keeps putting me in full russian lobbies. (I live 1700km away from Russian border)

Ok I usually dont rant about anything but at this point im just kinda fed up but it also seems worth reporting.

The whole thing started maybe 1 or 2 weeks ago. Literally every single game at least 8 out of 12 players are russians, they dont want to speak english and will literally tell you to not speak english either and they are also known to be hella toxic which I can confirm. Playing with them is absolutely miserable and I dont understand why I keep getting put in those lobbies when I live in Austria. Its not even close geographically and I have to play with like 55ms ping while everyone else has probably half than that. I dont know where the other servers are located but I know for a fact that there is one where I have 20ms ping, im assuming thats Frankfurt or Paris.

So why are 90% of my games in East EU Lobby? Why is there no way to set a max ping? Why is there no way to pick prefered servers? Its not even like my queues are super short, one time I literally waited 45 minute in queue and then just quit. That was once but in the morning pretty much every game has 10+ min queue time.

Games became so unenjoyable that im considering to stop playing just because of every game "blyat blyat cyka rush b russian yapp yap"

I doubt that in the last 2 weeks there was a sudden increase of russian players at high MMR so I blame it on the MM.

Hope this gets resolved/a solution is found.
 
Same happening to me in Czechia. Even though i override servers to 1 everytime i start the game, i get mostly paired with Russians on their servers. I know this, because on EU i have 8-10 ping, on Russian servers i get 28-32ping - this might not seem like much, but the delay is really noticeable on higher mmr, mostly while landing melee and parry. Please, give us a choice to select servers we want to play at. I will gladly wait for my games more minutes, than to waste hours playing on cancer filled blyat servers, where i have to eventually mute everyone. 🙏
 
Can also confirm that I've been getting matched into russian region games repeatedly, despite being in the Czech Republic and having my region set as EU. I've had some luck with russian teammates at least trying to communicate ("Wraith. Grin", trying to tell me to defend the green guardian), but most games I just hear random yapping in VC in russian, or god knows what they are writing in the chat. Its really frustrating to not be able to communicate with your team at all.

As for Mysq's comment, I've been having less than ideal lobbies as well. Granted I haven't been playing my best either, but I've been getting split up with the person I queued with in almost every game (despite us being equally skilled, we almost always play together) and most lanes immediately devolve into a one sided stomp. Getting at least one person who seems to be playing the game for the first time has also been a very common occurence, despite all signs pointing to the lobbies not exactly being "first game" MMR.
 
Im from UK and this was a major issue in my early playtime. Had 2 neko scores, and russian had more games lool. I assume its valve trying to quarantine their "playstyle". I only get EU games now i believe. Still maybe 10% russian ragers but not full lobbies talking amongst themselves anymore.

Maybe they widened the area including other close countries, so that RU VPN users have to choose much further locations (and lag) to avoid their own ques
